Your Dream Wedding

If you’re dreaming of a wedding that feels more like a joyful weekend celebration than a stiff, scripted event—welcome. Dragonhead Retreat is an East Texas wedding venue created for sentimental couples who want a laid-back, playful, and deeply personal experience. If “beef or chicken” banquet vibes aren’t your thing, you’re in the right place.

For over 10 years, we’ve hosted East Texas weddings that break the mold. We know wedding planning can be stressful—especially if you’re coordinating from out of town or out of state—so we’ve built our wedding experience to be clear, flexible, and refreshingly transparent. Everything you need to decide if Dragonhead Retreat is your perfect match is right here, including straightforward pricing and lodging options.

A Wedding Weekend, Not Just a Wedding Day

Our wedding packages give you access to all 25 private acres, allowing you to design your ceremony and reception exactly how you envision it. From forest clearings and open fields to covered gathering spaces and intimate outdoor settings, there are multiple options for creating a ceremony backdrop and reception layout that feels uniquely you.

This isn’t a one-size-fits-all venue. It’s a canvas for couples who want room to explore, celebrate, and make their wedding feel like a festival—unhurried, joyful, and surrounded by the people who matter most.

Lodging Designed for the Full Wedding Experience

The Bride’s Lodge

The lodge is designed to be a beautiful, functional home base for the bride and bridal party. Downstairs features two private bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, dining room, and living room, while upstairs includes a loft with three beds, a game table, and a cozy sitting area.

In addition, the lodge includes a 2,400-square-foot covered space with a fireplace, ping pong, darts, and plenty of room for planning the perfect bachelorette party—or for the bride to relax, get ready, and enjoy quiet moments before walking down the aisle. It’s private, spacious, and intentionally designed to support a stress-free wedding day.

The Groomsman Cabin

The Groomsman Cabin at Dragonhead Retreat is designed to give the groom and his closest friends a space that feels private, relaxed, and entirely their own. Set apart on its own section of the property, the cabin creates the perfect environment for a laid-back bachelor party weekend or a low-key hangout before the wedding day. It’s a place to disconnect from timelines and to-do lists, and simply enjoy time together—whether that means swapping stories, grilling out, or winding down by the fire after a full day of celebration.

With a private deck, fire pit, and BBQ area, the cabin encourages long evenings outdoors and easygoing gatherings that feel more like a retreat than a rental. Inside, the cabin offers comfortable lodging for up to seven people, making it simple for the groom and groomsmen to stay together without feeling crowded. It’s the ideal balance of comfort, privacy, and fun—giving the groom and his crew their own home base to relax, recharge, and create memories that become just as meaningful as the wedding itself.
